Very expected game when 5th rankedMets (9-18) lost to first ranked Vaqueros (21-7) in Bayamon 91-101 on Monday. Bayamon made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The winners were led by international guard Stephen Thompson Jr (194-1997, college: Oregon St.) who scored that evening 30 points and Italian forward Danilo Gallinari (208-1988) supported him with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Vaqueros' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds by international center Ismael Romero (205-1991) did not help to save the game for Guaynabo . The former international Jaysean Paige (188-1994, college: WVU) added 20 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Vaqueros have a solid three-game winning streak. Bayamon maintains first position with 21-7 record. Guaynabo at the other side keeps the fifth place with 18 games lost.
